Bora Bora island

Hello everyone, you used to read about tech, well i was thinking why not add travel to the blog, the reason i did this, because i'm sure there is a lot of people want to know places around to the world for two reasons, one maybe the person want to spend holiday in new place, or two discover about places in the world, anyway lets start this post.

As you have read the title, this post gonna be about bora bora island, its the most beautiful island you could travel to, its breathtaking, this island is 29.3 km2, and its part of  the Leeward group in the western part of the Society Islands of French Polynesia,an overseas collectivity of France in the Pacific Ocean.

The island located about 143 miles (230 kilometres ) northwest of Papeete, and its surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. in the centre of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, the highest point at 727 metres (2,385 feet).

Lets talk about the name for this island, when we look back to the ancient times and to the current time, it wasn't the same name, before in the ancient times it was called "Pora pora mai te pora",and the name is in the  Tahitian language, which means "created by the gods",before they didn't say the full sentence, they called "pora pora" for short and simply mean "first born", and that was because of  ambiguities in the phonemes of the Tahitian language, and somehow the island was called bola bola or bora bora, till the explorer Jakob Roggeveen first landed on the island, he and his crew adopted the name Bora Bora which  the name has  stood ever since.

i think its everything you want to know about it, well last thing i'm gonna talk about that the island, is when you visit the island you gonna find a path with several resorts, and its amazing and you sit and watch the water, the pure water, anyway i'm gonna stop and let you enjoy the the pictures of the bora bora, hope you enjoyed the article, if so give it some love, i will catch you in the next post.

  1. Amazing photos, it looks like paradise! I'd love to someday visit Bora Bora (or the Maldives..) and splurge on the over-water bungalow, just once. :)
